The Left eye

The appointment at Kaiser yesterday was a long cession, 1 to 5. They did a fluorescence (sp) study that showed that the left eye has deteriorated. I think my vision from it is a bit better, an ophthmologist knows better. A lazar treatment is no longer an option. The injection into the eye is weakly recommended due to its only temporary relief and the possibility of increasing the presser in the eye to cause glaucoma and blindness. If nothing is done legal blindness is not the result. There is a new chemical, Macugen, that has just been approved and I have read about its potential and it is fairly good. Dr. Rosen brought it up and I asked, “If is comes on the market will Kaiser have it and will you use it?”

He responded, “We will set up an appointment in three weeks and we will use it.”
