Joan and Amber's visit +

Joan and Amber stopped by for a visit and the few bites. It has been a rainy day but they seem to be doing just fine. It was nice to have them here. They are going to Disneyland and expect lots of rain, but seem to be prepared and they will have a great time. They reported on the serious flooding in Napa.

The tradition was carried onfrom Norma’s, family of having sauerkraut and pork on the first day of January. I am able to get carnitas, which is a Spanish/Mexican way of preparing pork, and it was a treat.
